“Initially, I did A LOT of research to compare the various wedding website providers. There were so many available, and the choices were overwhelming. I originally decided to use WeddingWindow.com because it had the best selection of ready-made templates, I could try it for free and, in the end, I was happy with the final product. ...But not so fast! It was my maid of honor who pointed out that the color scheme and images I had chosen for the site weren't really a reflection of our wedding colors or the graphics I was designing for both our Save-The-Date cards and wedding invitations. My inspiration was a picture I had taken of a warm-weather flower--the bougainvillea--in front of an ocean view in Puerto Vallarta, where we will be married (see attached file, "Inspiration"). She was right; and I was grateful for her input. I wanted to have a wedding website not only to easily communicate important information to our guests, but to generate excitement using color and local images as but a hint of what lies in store for them when they finally arrive to Puerto Vallarta to celebrate our wedding with us. So, I went back to the proverbial drawing board and re-designed the site completely. I customized the colors to match our wedding theme and added a custom Flash banner intro that is actually a photo I took of the view from the wedding chapel in which we will be married. Luckily, all of the actual web content was already done, so all I had to change was the overall look and feel of our site. Customizing the site was simple to do. None of my original content was lost, and I was able to dramatically improve the site's aesthetic appeal and relevancy to both our wedding color palette and destination. Now that our site looks better since customizing it, keeping things up-to-date is equally pain-free using the page manager interface. No need to know any HTML programming code, and everything is updated real-time, so I can see how my changes look right away. My weddingwindow.com experience has been fun and frustration-free, and I would recommend it to any bride who wants to create a quality wedding website that is easy to manage.”
